March 20, 2019 - New President
The current president David Harris has moved and hence will no longer serve on the board. A request for volunteers was made at the annual HOA meeting held on March 19, 2019 and our neighbor Gary Marks volunteered and was unanimously voted into office! We want to thank Gary for volunteering!

June 12, 2016 - Pool Work
Monarch Pools is doing a lot of work on the pool this week. It is being re-plastered and having an auto-fill device being installed. They have said they should be done mid to late next week (around June 16). This will make the pool leak less and look much nicer. Thank you for your patients.

March 23, 2015 - House Painting
Sheila Khodadad is a student at Texas A&M University and she will be running a residential painting company this summer called College Works Painting. If you are looking to paint you home and wish to help out an up and coming engineer please contact her. Click here to see her flyer

March 22, 2015 - Annual home owners meeting
Please join us at the pool area for the 2015 annual home owners meeting for the Suffolk Chase HOA. We will meet Tues March 24 at 7:30 pm. In case of rain we will meet the following Tues March 31st. We will be discussing budget and planning for this year. The board has been working to pass new deed restrictions to bring the HOA's legal documents into compliance with state law and to allow us to lower the annual dues, to that end starting at 7pm on the day of the meeting a public notary will be available in the pool area to notarize the deed restriction approval forms. You can visit http://suffolkchasehoa.com/documents.php to view the current deed restrictions and the proposed new ones. Please come join in the discussion and help us keep Suffolk Chase a wonderful place to live and a desirable location for all of our future neighbors. And bring a friend, the more the merrier.

November 13 2014 - Deed restriction Approval At the Pool
The HOA board has diligently worked on a new set of Deed Restrictions that will replace the outdated revision that the subdivision is currently operating under. Back in July, you received a copy of the proposed Deed Restrictions in the mail. To get the new Deed Restrictions filed with the county, the approval sheet needs a notarized signature and to be returned to the HOA. We realize that you will incur a cost for notary services, so we have coordinated with our neighbor Carol, a public notary, who has volunteered her services. We will be at the pool area October 15, from 10am to 1pm with copies of the approval sheet ready for you to sign. If you have not signed an approval sheet, please come by and sign.

Our old Deed Restrictions are out of date and in violation of current state law. They also do not allow us to lower HOA dues. We are saving a lot of money with the new trash contract we signed this year and we want to pass the savings back to you. However, we cannot without new Deed Restrictions. The new document is comprehensive enough to ensure the neighborhood is kept nice and not so stringent as to become a burden on those that live here. You can view both the previous and proposed documents here . At least 2/3 of the lots in the subdivision must approve the new restrictions via a notarized signature for them to be in effect. We thank you in advance for your help with this and look forward to serving you in the years to come.

April 2 2014 - Recycling
Due to interest expressed in the Annual HOA meeting for recycling services we contacted WCA about how they handle their recycling program. WCA charges $3.25 per home per month for recycling. They will provide a 65 gallon plastic cart to each home for the purposes of recycling.
Below is quoted from the contract:

WCA will provide curbside recycling service with WCA-provided 65-gallon recycle cart once each week on Friday. WCA will provide each current resident, and all new residents as they move in, with one 65-gallon recycle cart.

WCA will collect all recyclables that are placed within the provided recycling container, as well as additional recyclables placed in a paper bag or a corrugated cardboard box. Current items being collected are paper including newspaper, magazines, phone books, catalogs, junk mail, envelopes, file folders, computer paper, construction paper, colored paper, corrugated cardboard boxes (flattened and bundled) cereal and soda/beer boxes, gift boxes, wrapping paper; containers including glass bottles, glass jars, aluminum cans, aluminum foil, plastic bottles/jugs/buckets #1 through #7 (excluding Styrofoam), metal food cans, metal pots and pans, scrap metal like nails, screws and gutters and copper. In the event that the market price for any one (1) or all of the commodities designated to be collected drop to the point that such materials can no longer be sold or processed, WCA will remove that item(s) from the list of those items to be recycled and notify the residents of such changes.

Click here to see a copy of the WCA Waste Acceptance Guidelines, along with what materials they accept for recycling.

The new contract isn't in effect yet, it is slated to go into effect on May 1st 2014.

March 27 2014
We have finalized and recorded a new set of By-Laws and support documents for the Suffolk Chase HOA. Our new Deed Restrictions are finished but before they can take effect we need sign off by 2/3 of the home owners in the HOA we are planning to begin that process soon by first mailing every owner a copy of the new restrictions. Please see the HOA Documents page to view the new By-Laws and proposed Deed Restrictions.

WCA Waste has ironed out the issues related to the acquisition of Trashporters and trash was picked up today. Service will now resume on the same schedule as it was before.

January 7 2014
The company that provides our trash pick-up service, Trashporters, has been purchased by WCA Waste. There has been some issue causing the trash not to be picked up. As of COB today no firm answer as to what the issue is or if pick up will happen tomorrow has been given. Stay tuned for further updates.

July 15 2013
The pools filter finally gave out and needed to be replaced. The filter has been installed by our pool service company Monarch Pools. The new filter is working well and doing a good job keeping the pool clean.

June 27 2013
The wooden portion of the pool's fence was replaced. The old fence was in poor condition and had been broken a few times to allow non-residents to enter the pool. The new fence was built to be strong and last us quite a while!
